In the pink

For someone who doesn't think of themselves as a "pink" person, I seem to have accumulated a fair number of pink fabrics.  I'm using them to make good on a promise to make a quilt for Alison's Soy Amado/Amada project .   You can read more about it in her original post - the situation of these children is quite heartbreaking and will make you feel very privileged.

Given the colour I think we can safely say that this is a Soy Amada (for a girl) quilt! Have to say, I'm quite liking the pink madness.

  5. Well I'm a bit of a pink girl (but only in the quilty corner of my life) and so I can't wait to see what you do with these lovelies. I have to make good on a promise too. Thanks for the reminder ;)

  6. Vivid, or shabby chic, pink is such a versatile colour. I love how cheerful your quilt will look–just the sort of thing a little girl would love. Thanks for flagging up this initiative, I've got an unused quilt that's looking for a home, now I know where to send it.

  7. I'm just glad you are going with bright pinks - I can't really get friendly with masses of pale, pastelly baby pink ...
